G. hn "comes from the English word" HomeNetwork ", while" G "represents the family of technical standards developed by ITU-T for" Transmission Systems and Media, Digital Systems and Networks ". The ITU-T standardization organization adopted the G.9960 standard (physical layer and architecture) on October 9, 2009, and the G.9961 standard (data link layer) on June 11, 2010. G. The original intention of hn's design was to solve the problems of existing wired networking technologies, including enjoying multiple line connections under a single PHY/DLL. G.hn defined a universal PHY (Physical Layer) and DLL (Data Link Layer) architecture, which can operate in any home networking including power lines, telephone lines, and coaxial cables. Designing a single chip that can operate in multiple circuits through G.hn will no longer be difficult, as all major parameters (modulation mode, error correction, encryption, media access control, etc.) can be universally applied to different physical media.
Based on the coaxial network of broadcasting and television, Changguang Technology has launched the G.hn "Jilian Wanjia" series of products, which consists of GC central end (equivalent to EOC head end), GB terminal (equivalent to EOC terminal), and branch distributor. Similar to the network architecture of EOC, the GC terminal is placed at the optical node of the building or hallway, while the GB terminal is placed on the user's desktop or embedded in the set-top box. The two are connected by a tree or star shaped coaxial network composed of branch distributors.
This technology effectively solves the limitations of existing EoC (HomePlugAV) technology, and through proprietary technology, greatly improves the physical layer speed, uplink and downlink transmission delay, and anti-interference ability of the CABLE network from the optical node to the user end. It has become a coaxial cable solution comparable to FTTH, enabling customers to achieve maximum investment return ratio in the bidirectional transformation of broadcasting and television networks.
